I'm thinking about getting a Neuspeed downpipe for my 180hp fwd TT. does anyone know how much horsepower it will give me? Also will it make the TT sound any more powerful or give it any kind of sound??

I have a techtronic down pipe on my TT and it didnt change the sound any that I could tell, but I had a borla cat back on first which does change the sound. The downpipe from what I have been told is one of the bigger gains for our cars besides the chip and I did notice the change. But if you do the down pipe you might want to do the whole exhaust @ 2.5 inches to give the car a full free flow for the exhaust which really helps in HP.

Yes you can do that and you will still gain some hp with just the downpipe. Turbo's work best with good airflow from the intake all the way through the exhaust. So a bigger flow (2.5 inch) will allow better flow thus more hp. Manifolds, turbo inlet pipes can also be changed for better flow.

 

get a 3" downpipe its worth the extra mony for the performance gains and GHL makes in my opinion the best exhaust systems to connect up to the downpipe.

but I hear a good downpipe alone can have gains in up to 20 HP add a high flow cat extra 5-10 and a good cat back exhaust add another 10 HP

40 HP sounds like a good upgrade to me :-)

 

what´s the price for a 3" downpipe for the kkk03 turbo in the us? in germany i can order one by the conditions of my tt-forum for round about 130 euros and in germany this is a ultimative good price. but performance parts are normally much cheaper in the us... this is why many tuners buy and import things like intercoolers from the usa
