Default New audi tt owner

I'm 16 So I had no choice in what audi tt I got so my parents got me the 180hp audi awd, not bad car, but I know basics on cars and my question is what can I do to my audi tt to get more hp, or "speed" besides trading it because my parents won't let me. What could I do to it to get the most bang for my buck.

Hi Jonezy, my name is Vince. I just bought my Audi TT about three weeks ago too. Although, I'm not 16, I'm 61....LOL I've turned wrenches all my life on cars and heavy equipment. From what I can see with the TT I bought, there is plenty of horse power to this engine to begin with the turbo system. With the four cylinder on these engines there's not a lot I would change, you don't want to over do it and blow the engine. Tune ups and making sure the air cleaner is kept clean will give you plenty of power on the stock side of these engines. Good luck with your new car and happy driving.

Default thanks for responding

Thanks you for responding, I started to wonder if anyone was out there? But I don't want much more, ik it has power, but I want to enough hp to lay down some rubber, aka sequel the wheels.

Smile Burnning rubber

Hi Jonezy, I know sometimes you just want to put down a little tire, the cars look hot but, when you want to put down rubber it won't. That's because it's 4 wheel drive, years ago when cars were positive traction, it made it harder to burn rubber. With 4 wheel drive you need to spin all wheels, which isn't going to happen. These cars get traction instead of burning rubber, which is better off the line, and makes for a faster car. Now these cars are I think 40/60 which means 60 % to the rear tires and 40% to the front tires. That's why you can't burn rubber.....LOL Have fun with the fast car.....
