New brakes installed a week ago. Possible problem? [Pictures]
Ok, so I installed PowerStop Cryo Slotted rotors and EBC RedStuff Pads (front brakes only) weekend before last. Everything turned out great. Install wasn't too hard other than getting the rotors off of the wheel hub (tapped it with a mallet and broke them free. no biggie.
Well I took all the wheels back off this past weekend to paint the calipers. I didn't take the calipers off to paint them, because the pads/rotors have already worn their pattern (even if it IS ever so slight) and I really didn't want to reinstall the pads on the rotors and get squeaking (sometimes caused by putting new pads on old rotors since the new pads don't have the wear pattern the old one did).
Anyhow, I took the wheels off and noticed something slightly out of the ordinary. I looked at the Pad on the right wheel and noticed that the pad wasn't wearing evenly. I walked around and the EXACT same thing was happening on the other opposite wheel. The two abnormal wear patterns on the pads were so identical, it almost looks like it's suppoed to be like that. I took some pictures tonight to post on here to see if anyone may know why they're doing it and/or if it's normal. They seem to work just fine... they have started to squeak a little since I painted the calipers. I contribute that to some paint getting between the caliper and pad. Let me know if anyone has had this issue before...
Oh, one more thing. In the pictures, you'll notice that the "clips" are not installed. That is NOT the cause. I know this because the clips were on when the pads did this. I just took the clips off to paint the calipers and put them back on after the paint dried. Just wanted to cover that, cause I figure someone would immediately think the clips not being there would be the cause. lol I assure you the clips were installed during the one week between when the brakes were installed and when I noticed the odd wear. Thanks for the help.

Right it is a single piston caliper. But if this was normal, it would of done the same thing on the original brakes.
I know for a fact it didn't, and the only thing he has changed is adding slotted rotors.
Which is why I'm going to stick to my theory of it being the slotted discs!
*going outside right now to look at mine*
Edit: Mine look pretty even, I haven't put very many miles on them though.

other than the fact the calipers are bright green, theres nothing wrong, you silly person.
if i can find a pic to show you, i'll post it, but by what i think you see as a problem, you'll be fine.

Its called CHAMFERED.
"Chamfered edges allow the pads to engage the rotor more smoothly, which reduces chatter, vibration and noise. Slots also help dampen noise and allow a path for hot gases to escape under severe braking conditions "

Yes... I see the cut grade on the pads and yes, mine had that as well. However, that cut grade is on each end of the pads running crossways across the pad. My Pads have a cut grade running lengthwise down the pads. Additionally, the cutgrade was not there when they were installed.
