My wear is more like this. the area marked in grey is the deeper wear. The "Chamfered edges" aren't visible while installed under the caliper. the ends of the pad are covered.

isnt the red stuff overkill for brakes? im looking to get new ones and im looking at green stuff... also, should i do rotors as well?? cause you said new pads on old rotors = squeaking... thanks

red stuff are just a more aggressive pad. It is made for the hard street driver and the occasional autoX. New rotors would be much better but if yours are smooth with no grooves you can reuse them.
