Default New downpipe, new problems

I just got the new downpipe installed in 225TT. Its a 3 inch Draft Designs pipe. After getting installed, I noticed a rattling/vibrating and knocking noise. I'm guessing its the downpipe hitting against the firewall or something around there. Any ideas of how to fix something like this.

I would like to place a bracket in but is there a limit on how rigid you could make the braket?
I don't know if its just the downpipe bringing out the sound of the turbo, but the turbo sounds really loud. Not like the normal whistel. Possible a vaccume hose??? It also seems like the turbo cuts out around 4000rpms.

Thanks

If it's rubbing on something it's not installed right- take it back to the shop. Did you upgrade the dogbone mount? I had to when my downpipe was installed to prevent the motor from moving around so much.
I don't know about your turbo issue past 4k, it took my car about 250 miles to feel right after the install and you will definitely hear more turbo noise.

It took that long for everything to start to work right? What all has to blend together?

I didn't do that upgrade, probably should have. I'm getting it fixed this Saturday hopefully.

Dogbone mount to break-in and stop vibrating the whole car, ECU to adapt to the increased flow, Me to get used to the power

Mine did that too. Found that the hardware was loose between the first 02 sensor and the flex pipe. Just short of a week they started to loosen. I replaced the hardware and haven't looked back. I even blew out the gasket twice before replacement. A good easy way to check w/o lifting the car is get on your side and put pressure sideways on the pipe. There should be some movement but not much. You can easily tell if there is too much play. A dead giveway is the sqeaking of loose hardware. I dealt with this for a couple weeks.

If you need to tighten section that goes from the turbo to the flex pipe. It's easy and takes about 20 mins. Just remove the strut bar and the bracket for it on the passenger side. Then remove the 02 sensor. You should have easy access to the 3 bolts, replace and tighten if that is the culprit.

42DD had addressed this problem I had read but it was a known issue. Keep in mind you may hear the DP bumping the firewall sometimes when you take off but not constantly while driving.

I've been running this pipe for a long time and no dog bone (maybe I should get one 2nd has been harder to get into lately but I drive the car maybe oncea week). They are cheap and it's a pretty straight forward install. I have not had any issues with excessive engine movement and I am quattro so no wheel hop here. Which the dogbone helps with incase you were wondering what it did. I have also read due to less engine movement it can enable smoother shifting. I say first check for loose stuff.

I need to get the ECS dog-bone mount kit. Since I did my exhaust I've been singing the 2nd gear downshift rattle blues.[X(]

No really... it's all good. Just check that everything is tight like people are telling you and if the rattling is too annoying do the dog-bone mount kit.
