Hey guys, just wanted to say hi as I am new to the club.

I am hoping to purchase a TT in a few weeks. I found the site while researching the history of the car as well as its performance potential - great source of info!!

I got my first taste of the TT yesterday when I took the '05 1.8T 225hp quattro for a test drive.....wow!! I just can't stop thinking about the car!! It drives totally unlike what I was expecting.....I was expecting a luxury type car, a similar drive to say an SLK230. How wrong I was....this car feels like a true sports car! It's loud, its aggressive, its powerful, handling is amazing, I love the styling.....anyway as you can see I am totally in love with this car! I can't wait to see what its like after a few minor mods!!!

Are there a lot of other members from Canada on the site - more specifically from Toronto? I'm gonna need some advice on a good place to do mods soon

Welcome! Hope you have fun with your '05 TT ... the best part about owning a TT? You can drive it like a sports car all year round. No hiding in the garage next winter ... I'm in the T.O. area as well but don't really know much about where to go for mods/upgrades etc.
Just remember you have free maint/warranty for 4yr/80K so try not to start off on the wrong foot with your service advisor with any 'questionable' mods ...
