So the new 2.0 TT is only 20 hp more than the old and the same weight but it is almost1.5 seconds faster in the 0-60 time (7.3 down to 6.1). So what did they do to improve so much with just 20 extra hp? I saw that the GIAC chip for the new TT is already out and claims 20 to 50 more hp. I guess to get the whole 50 you need and new exhaust and CAI. That $500 dollar chips puts the hp at the same level with the new 3.2 TT, but $$$$ thousands less.

The new 2.0T is a great engine. I got to test drive a GTI with that motor recently. It's a lot torquier than the 1.8T. Stock it actually has the same 207lb ft as the 225 but a much lower rpm. The powerband is awesome. I think in the next few years were going to see this engine easily become more popular than the 1.8T

The 7.3 is the 180 and the new 2.0 is 200 hp and can do 0-60 in 6.1. Well it sounds like a good engine if it can deliver that much improvement with only 20 more hp. And if you do the chip and put on a new exhaust it sems like a good bit of power. I dont know why they dont turbo the 3.2 cuz if you get the 2.0 and chip you are right there with the 3.2 if not past it and for alot less. Plus you get to feel the turbo kick in and that makes it more fun to drive. They just need to make the 2.0 quattro.

I agree, I think that the 2.0TFSI is going to be bigger and badder than the 1.8T I smell a rivalry in the next few years.

I have a 180HP

Most of you know my mods:

Stage 1 clutch
14lbs flywheel
APR chip

I have gtec'd my car at 6.3 seconds - 0 - 60

Does this sound right? Fast or slow? - This is the average, some being a little bit faster sometimes a little bit slower but that is the flat average.

Yeah, its a FWD. Its a bitch to launch correctly.

But does that sound a bit right?

Will a downpipe and a couple other mods get me under 5.9 seconds?

Or is it wasted $$

For me launching at about 3k gives the best traction for the fwd car. Yesa dp and anything that adds power/traction will improve times. Simple things like the dog bone mounts will help, lowering the car, better tires, and always adding power.

For my money at this point, what are the best mods I can add?

I was considering a modshack intake for awhile, but that dropped off due to some bills that came up.

What kind of time gains will i see with an intake and downpipe added?
