I don't get the boat thing! LOL... Was the loaner you drove a Sport Package car? Mine is very nice handling. It pretty much goes where you point it. I love downshifting before a turn and stepping into the pedal. The tail swings around nicely and the car just plants itself into the apex of the curve with minimal drama. I can't wait to do new shocks and swaybars.

I think the A4 is pretty stylish too though. Both cars are winners in my book.

Haha i think the reason behind your disliking of the A4 and thinking its waaaay heavy is cause well... you have a TT haha, of course itll be heavy and it wont respond like our little sports cars... I didnt read through previous post so if this sounds random sorry, but yea, its an A4 vs a TT...

On the other hand, i was blessed with driving an RS4 today and holy crap! Now that car has some giddy up to it

The 2.0 will respond better than the 1.8 in any car cuz the 2.0 has a better compression rate 10.3:1 compared to the 1.8 of 9.5:1. So both the new TT and the A4 with the 2.0 will feel better than the older ones with the 1.8 but the TT will be faster cuz it weighs a little less.

I haven't driven an A4 1.8T. I steered clear of them because I didn't figure that a car the weight of the A4 would be responsive enough with a 4 cylinder engine unless I dumped a bunch of money into chipping it, doing exhaust and what not. I don't mind doing that to my TT because it's a sports car and I plan on keeping forever.

I know what you mean, when I get my new 2008 TT all Im going to do is the chip, exhaust, and CAI. That should get me a good running and sounding car. I heard Audi has tried to make the 2008 TT harder to mod by making the diverter valve and little things like that harder to mod. But Im sure that will only last for awhile until someone spends some time on the engine and comes out with things.
