So I was rummaging around the photo gallery and such, and i notice that the engine covers on multiple peoples cars are painted... I have seen the carbon fiber and what not, i was wonder if there are after market ones you buy?? Orrr.... Can i go out and buy some high temp paint and do it myself, i have and airbrush gun and everything, i just dont know if the engine gets too hot for the paint? let me know. Thanks!!!

 

any paint is fine. take the airbrush and go nuts.

...Your sure that it doesnt get too hot for the paint to melt or possibly start a fire?

 

I have regular auto spray on mine. The plastic doesnt absorb heat so the paint is fine.
