Default Newbie - Radiator Fan Troubleshooting, Performance after T/B?

2001 TT 180 QC - zero mods!

Hi guys,

I'm new to the TT. Just had the Timing Belt/Water Pump (metal version)work done and while the car is smoother, I alsonoticedit isn't pulling as hard since. Any ideas or things I could check myself as to why this could be?

I also seem to have an issue with my radiator fan. Does anyone have advice as how to self troubleshoot a non-working radiator fan? Fuse locations, tests etc. Only one fan works (the smaller one, which I think is A/C?) - the larger one just doesn't want to spin, no matter how hot the car gets! The 49creadout said it was 110 at idle and that got me worried. Normal driving, the temp gauge on the dash reads 90 with slight fluctuation to the higher scale. What is a 'normal' running temp for the 180 TT?

Tanx in advance and apologies for all the questions!

L
