I have a 2002 225 tt that started to make a louder pitch from the engine bay. I didn't think much about it until the car had no power 2,3or 4th gear it felt like the turbo wasn't working but boost gauge had normal 12 psi. I slowed down and smashed gas no power and then 20 psi the car takes off. The next morning i get a check engine light, audi says it's a secondary air intake pump. will this cause the car to act like this.

What was the code that the pulled to clear the CEL? We are pretty much trying to diagnose in the dark.

 

I will get the car back tomorrow hopefully this will solve the problem. If it does i will post it, thank you for the help.

 

i got my car back the secondary air intake valve had a sticking issue and now the car is running great thanks for the help.

 

where is the secondary air intake pump and valve?

 

i think it is close to the turbo.

on the 180 the pump is down by the passager ic. Just follow the little hose coming out of your airbox and you cant miss it. Its a large black box and the valve should be on the opposite side of the box.
