Default No service codes.

Hi all, thanks for your kind responses to my newbie post in the new member section. I am loving my car. I have had it about a month, and 1000 miles. It is an 02 TT quattro 225, stock, 30000 miles. I have noticed a drop in the hit from the turbo in 2-6 gears, am using chevron 91 oct. I had the dealer check out the turbo and the clutch, (thought it may have been slipping) and he reports all is okay, no codes.

My question is, will leaking boost, or other vacum losses show up as a code? I intend to put in a boost guage asap. Also, has anyone had any experience with running Marvel Mystery oil in the gas at 4 oz/10 gal.?

Is your car chipped or stock?
MixingMMO with gasoline (even at a low ratio) may mess up the MAF, causing lots performance-related problems. Same with over-oiling an air filter. I used to run that mix in classic 1954 John Deere tractor (twin popper) just to keep things slick.

Try using some MAF cleaner.A boost gauge is the best, first mod in my opinion. There are plenty of how-to posts in this forum.

Have fun with it

Noticed after, you said stock. Not sure if codes are thrown. There's been a lot of talk lately, I'm sure someone will chime in

I'd like to know how putting oil in your gas will effect the MAF that is sucking air in.. not a fuel mixture.

thanks, my dad also used MMO in farm vehicles, he swears by it... as far as the MAF, i thought the MAF was before the fuel intake/injectors, yes i agree about the air cleaner oil though, could the MMO effect the turbo bearings or other related parts/valves, or the O2 sensors, or any other sensor down stream from the fuel intake?

I'd imagine you'd have to worry about the O2 sensors the most.

I talked with the service rep after checking the turbo, and the service invoice indicated "checked D fuel trim 1.1 short term and -0.8 long term vehicle performs as designed".

i feel I have a very good audi dealer and a reputable service dept.

How well are these numbers within specs? what would be optimal numbers?
and the reply on ow to test for pressure leaks was great, thanks.

Those numbers seem good, sounds like they checked the 02 sensors maybe...
