Angry o2 Sensor Locations?

Hi Kiddies!

--Long time, no post... I'll just take a moment of your time. I had both sensors fail on me just recently and I've bought replacements; only problem is I'm not sure where they reside... The car's an '00 Quattro and I know they're before and after the cat, but where exactly (pics/diagrams extremely appreciated)? How big of a b*tch will it be to replace the fried ones?

Thanks in advance...

its not bad, assuming they havent fused themselves into the bungs. pre-cat is on the downpipe just after the turbo. looking at the engine dead on, it'll be straight back from the oil cap. post-cat is pretty obvious, its the only sensor stuck into the exhaust under the car. i got lucky and mine have come out with just an open end wrench, but if they're stuck dont booger them up, they make a deep well socket with a slot in the side for wire clearance. with that socket you can grip the sensor on all sides lessening the chance it slips. socket is cheap, get them at any auto parts store
