Default Oil Filter Access

Hi,
I am trying to change the oil on my 2001 TT 225 hp. I can't seem to reach the oil filter. It is blocked by the intercooler pipe. How do you get access to the filter to change it?

the best way is to loosen the filter from the top with a oil filter removal wrench then drop it down into an oilpan. Make sure the car is cold. you have to remove any plastic covers that are in your way.

skinny arms certainly help.

Been a piece of cake since I removed the stock oil cooler too. sandwich plate for the mocal cooler is less than half the thickness. Makes a big difference.
