2000 A8 Air Filter: How access air box screw?
I've had my 2000 A8 4.2L for about 8 months. I want to change the air filter. I can easily access 3 of the 4 screws on the air box. But the 4th screw is blocked by an air duct. Am I supposed to remove the air duct, and if so, how?

Yes, you are correct. I must remove the plastic air intake hose first. How do I remove the hose? Must I remove screws that hold the hose in place? Or is the hose the type that is just snapped together? If so, how do I disassemble the hose without breaking any of the plastic snaps?

yah, there are two screws
that are 5/16ths or flathead screw driver to unlock
them. one on each end of the hose

Nulif7: Thanks for your reply. Your attached thumbnail shows the wrong air duct. It shows the duct between the air filter housing and the throttle valve. This is not the air duct that blocks access to the air housing screw. The correct air duct is the one which is between the top of the radiator and the bottom of the air filter housing. Do you have a diagram that shows how to remove it?
