I called ECS Tuning and they informed that they had recieved several similar complaints about the same plug on 1.8t on the 225 model only and gave me a full refund. Lesson, do not risk buying this plug if you have a 225.
Those effing bastered sold me the wrong size too! I put it in loose and it distroyed my oil pan. AVOID THE ECS PLUG!!!!!!

No, I'm pretty sure I didn't. I finally called ecs today and got my $12 back. They said it had occured before, so I don't think it's a cross tread issue. More likely a made in china issue.

I wounder if your ecs plug "just barely works" and over a year or so it strips?? I think the thread pitch is just slightly off.

I think the pitch would have to be off since so many people have ruined the threads with them. Plus i still cant believe people are paying $12 for them when they can get one from AZ for $4

It is a much nicer plug then AZ, the magnet is about 10 times larger... it just doesent fit.

Mine is atleast the same length. It was plenty long to pull the oil squirter and hold it until i could drain the oil
