Default OK Done The Chip. Now what?

I chipped my TT with a GIAC chip last fall shortly after I bought the car. Definitely worth the money. I love the fact that I can put the car in "Dead" mode when I park someplace where I worry about it.

I've been reading different posts and want some ideas on what to do next to the car. The GIAC dealer told me that putting an exhaust on the car was a waste of money, but on GIAC's website they recommend one. Go figure.

How about some ideas?

So many people concentrate on increasing Hp without concern for improving the handling and braking in order to handle the added power. A Neuspeed 19mm rear sway bar should be your next mod. It will make the car handle more neutral in corners, you should then consider coilovers and a BBK somewhere not to far into the future. Having a bunch of Hp really only benefits you in a straight line. Making these cars handle more like a sports car through the twisties is a lot more fun than racing between stoplights.

+1, I agree if you want to upgrade ur suspention then go with what was said above. If you want some more kick then make sure you got a new Divertion Valve and the proper tuning springs if needed, because your old DV is most likely going to go out. Exhaust and downpipe are good along with some form of intake.

bbk = big brake kit

how in the hell can anyone that knows about cars say that a larger exhaust is not needed for a turbo car (crazy)? A full new exhaust is good for atleast 15-20hp atleast.

By full you mean downpipe to exhaust tip, mandrel bends and 2.75 or larger piping right?

Definately need the down pipe and catback. I saw pretty good gains when I did mine and it gives the car a nice grrrrrrrowl to it.

2.5" is big enough for a stock turbo, but 3" is always nice. And yes mandrel is always a must.

I'm drooling over the APR exhaust kit, but wow... $2600.00 That's a lot of green. I wonder what kind of horsepower gains it's good for?
