My effing shifter snapped off while shifting into 2nd gear. Anyone have any experience with this happening? Do you know how involved the repair is? I want to kill the guy that sold me this car and this crappy warranty that doesn't cover ANYTHING!!

Wow.. I've never heard of that happening. But don't sweat it, now is time for you to put in a B&M or Neuspeed short shifter. They are both much heavier duty than the stock shifter anyway.

Dude, how friggin hard were you shifting? If you werent slamming gears I would be more concerned about the condition of that tranny from the previous owner(s). It takes quite a bit of torque to snap a shift linkage. If it was cracked or something when you bought it(not that you would know if it was below the boot) that suggests some serious abuse.
