open air filter...should have taken the shrooms..
No.
Idles fine, no change in driveablity.
Performance seems worse...
Probably just me. I put on the cone, felt faster, started gradually dropping power. Put stock back to go to the dealer cause the damned thing sounds like a diesel, and it felt faster. re-installed the cone and it felt slower.
Probably just my mind/ weight in car / ambient temperature.

Just a thought...
If intake tempdoesn't matter much, why do our cars perform better in cool temps?
I guess it affects the intercoolers efficiency, but is that why my car feels noticably faster on cooler days?
(This is before it would have a chance to heatsoak)

Most likely because the air is more dense when it is colder.
I dont have anybody to hold my camera either. I am working on a mount to tie up to the roll bars!

Um, so let me ask you this.. after you ride you car a little, you come to a stop light... does the engine rpm drop down for a quick sec and then come back up.. just enough so you can feel it? Hard to explain, but thats what mine was doing.

Mine did that and i thought it was the maf, tried to replace it still didnt fix it. Ran with it unpluged for about a month and when i got my engine pulled, turned out my tip came loose from the turbo.

my beef with the ssqv besides the whistle is that the new ones arent adjustable. The tension on thevalve was probably to soft and caused some minor problems. The old ones had a screw so you could adjust the valve with and would help tuning.
