what year TT do you have because I'm not sure I know what orange thing you are talking about. There is an amber/orange turn signal.. is that what you are talking about??
compare my headlights to cincy's. there is a square orange reflector on the outside edges of the headlights.

Putting my headlights in an oven sounds like a bad idea.... but that's just me
Thats what I thought but I have done alot of headlight mods with my cars, and my friends and they have all worked out, just as long as you dont overheat them. Also....DONT BURN yourself, I still have a scar to remember my lovely Audi TT

375* for about 10mins. You should be able to start to separate them then. You may need to reheat it again to get it all off. Also it helps to have someone cut the sealent as it streches.

I heat the oven up to 375 then when it gets there put the headlights in and then turn it off, wait about ten min and then take them out it worked for me, ohh and yes you will need another person to help you cut the sealant as it streaches. You could do it yourself but.....it will be harder, alot harder.

Euro models don't have it. I used a heat gun and screwdriver to pry mine open; it was a PAIN.

I just did this to my headlights and I put them in the oven one at a time on 170 degrees for 10 minutes. it softens the sealant enough to get the headlight apart to get to it. Once you get it out... you pry off the reflector and fill the holes left over after it is removed. sand after you fill them and repaint. You do not need any adhesive to reassemble. Put the main light assembly back in the oven for 10 minutes and remove it and reassemble while sealant is still soft. install clips and voila... you're finished. It is very easy but it takes some time to fill, sand and repaint housings once you remove reflectors.

look at my thread on the FMIC install and I did my headlights at the same time and have a few pictures in there.

but do take into account if you dont have a perfect seal, your headlights will fog when it rains.

Yea that happens to my left one I have to reseal it later. I just popped the orange reflector out and them put them back together, they look ok with black and you have to get really close to notice the four little holes that are there.
