As I'm driving home from the gym tonight i hear a beep and notice my orange battery light is on and I see that my dash lights flicker a little bit.

Immediately, I start debugging the issue in my head: either my battery is dead or my alternator is dying and not allowing the battery to recharge. I keep the RPM's high to make sure the alternator is working so I don't die on the high way.

I then notice that my tachometer and my speedometer are wildly incorrect. I will drive froma red light and be moving and the tachometer and speedometer will be a 0 and then all of a sudden jump to whatever ile and hour I'm driving. It will do this over and over.

Whats going on here?

 

my experience with all cars sound like you alternator. fix it before you get stuck.

 

It was the Alternator.

 

at least you save some money and aggravation.
