I wouldn't worry about already ordering a green top sensor.. better to have than to not have.

As for the fans not running check again after a spirited drive when you know the temp is reading 95+ then check again.

Quick question, how are you guys monitoring your coolant temps through the climate control? TIA

Press the recirc button(lloks like a curved arrow) and the up arrow (for the fan speed) at the same time. The display will change to "1 C", release said buttons. Now, take the a hold o'tha thermostat **** and crank itup until the display reads 49 C, and press the recirc button again. Now you will be displaying coolant temp in celcius. If you use the search function for like coolant or overheating, the actual links for waks wide world and such are in there to give you a table for what each "# C" read out gives you.

So I have the same problem. So I went out and bought the green top from the dealership, it was only 24.99. Installed it and the needle is still going to the right a little bit

Sorry if this is something you already checked, but did you look for corroded/blown fuses( the three that sit atop the battery? )

yeah, I think you have to remove the battery cover, and then its right on top. There are a clop on each left and right side and then it flips open, wires run into the left, 3 (i think green) fuses chillaxin on top

So the fans come on and the fuses are fine. Any other suggestions? Do you think its time for a new water pump even though its not leaking? I dont know from this point and I have no CEL on. I dont want to take it to the dealership. Just let me know.

Have your instrument cluster checked. The temp gauge is often one of the first things to go.
