Also, I have a nuespeed intake (bought the car with it) and a mechanic that did my timing belt told me that an open air intake on these cars could actually hurt performance. He said that heat builds up under the hood and it sucks in hot air, instead of cool air (more dense oxygen molecules). Just wondering everyones opinion on this, or if there has been dino runs to test it. Thanks

Neuspeed chips are supposed to be decent, but less agressive... I think they are cheaper too.
I have no personal experience with them though.

Air intake doesn't do much at all for performance, in fact i did feel like my car was slower.
The main reason i keep it on is because i'm 1/4 ricer and I like to hear my DV.

It depends what kind of intake it is. A straight up air intake isn't going to do all that much to our cars because our stock air boxes are actually pretty decent.
A cold air intake, which if you didn't know takes cold air from below the engine, near the road, usually produces more of a change in performance. It's still not major.
A chip will have the most performance difference besides a big *** turbo that is.

Word! Handmade hood scoops FTW.

Oh and don't forget. Decals add 2hp. So put on 10 decals gain 20hp and this obviously helps venting...

Oh ****. Totally forgot about that. Mirror tints give the best torque gain possible.

Ive tested Unitronics, APR and REVO. I have REVO in my 225 TT and love it. I think I am a big APR fan though.
