performance question.
so i am having a custom downpipe made for my 180Q. im having the guy do a straight pipe all the way down taking out the cat an then connect to the restonator, with a cut out valve built into the downpipe just before the bend to go to the underside. this way it will sound some what stock an then when i want it loud ill open the cut out valve an it can be loud as hell. now my real question is if he does the piping in 2.5 an not 3 so he wont have to reduce it to go to the resonator will there be a big difference between the 2.5 to the 3?
It is definitely tough to get 3 inch tube through the space available on the 180q- I know it took 42draft more than one attempt to get it right and he said the 225 actually had a little more clearance room and was easier to fabricate. I wonder if your guy has looked at it closely and realizes just how tight it is. Probably why it took so long to even get a 180q downpipe on the market.
ive had the guy look at the car an he said he can do it im just tryin to wait for him to not be busy because he does all this outta his house. he got three engine swaps rite now so i need to wait till he done with them.
