Default Pics of my accident

Hey guys, someone asked to see some pics from an accident I mentioned being in, in another thread. So, instead of threadjacking.. I figured I'd post this.

So I'm sitting at this red light at the front of the row in the right hand lane waiting to go straight. This dude on a motorcycle pulls up next to me and gestures that he'd like to get in front of me so when the light turns green he can just go.

So it does, and he goes.

As I follow behind him I drive past this onramp to the road I'm driving on.
(I've included a diagram as the intersection is difficult to describe )

She SHOULD have continued along the curve and into the lane provided for her which then eventually merges into traffic some 50 yards down the road.

Instead...she decides to say, "screw all this turning-my-wheel crap.. I'm going straight!" and slams right into me as I pass. Luckily she missed the guy on the bike, I mean.. who knows what might have happened had I not let that guy go in front of me?

So we're stopped in the middle of the road with cars coming at us (cause the light had just turned green). So I got back in my car and moved it over to the side of the road into that merging lane. I yelled at her for a bit then told her she should probably do the same. She did, and I called the cops. They gave her a ticket and sent her on her merry way in her big *** Cadillac. The cop tells me afterwards that she seemed delerious and confused because she told him I must've ran the red light (500 yards back). Right.

Anyway, here's the pics of thecar after I had it towed to my house.

Wheel damage

Yeah, that's a piece of her car wedged in there.

My TT needs to floss, it's got GM stuck in it's teeth... ew.

Hood meets A-Pillar

More carnage

Hey! I can see underneath my hood without even opening it! Neat!

So, I took the money from her insurance and got the new front bumper.

My Grandfather still drives a white 00 Ford Contour - he's 89 and scares the crap out of us in the family... only wish my aunt would take his keys before he kills someone [&o]

Ya my grandma still drives her 95 Suburban and it scares the hell out of me. Its so big and she is like 5 foot nothing, I really feel sorry for anything smaller than her on the road. Which is alot in that beast!

Glad you're alright and that you came out ahead with that killer bumper! We took my grandfather's keys sometime ago because of his vision being so bad and just took my grandmothers because she's started this fainting thing. Little did we know that they had copies of the keys, smart old farts, so we ended up having to pull the plug wires to keep them off the road!

I want to die in my sleep like my grandad, not screaming like the passengers in his back seat...
