If you're looking to mount a boost guage, check out www.modshack.info ; look for "the gadgeTT".

It's not a pillar pod, but it may do the trick. Alternatively, if your search for a pillar pod yields any successful results, post it

Well, it's the plan. I'm supposed to be picking my car up today, so I'll keep you posted.

The VTDA is the higher-performance intake (by a small margin, but it's something). The only thing is that the VTDA sounds more aggressive. The VTDA has, however, been more popular since its launch.

I'm going to fashion the ram air tubes so that they flow better. I'm also installing a mister near the intake and intercooler (push-button, manual), so the VTDA and its open design are better for me.

i thought the ttda was better i have the tubes mounted, one in the front bumper and one in behind the wheel well gaurd i can really notice the differnece. you can really feel it over 80.

According to Steve (who makes them) the VTDA is better. Also, the g/sec graphs show that the VTDA flows more. You can still have the tubes routed, though, they will help even more.

The TTDA is better performance wise than the VTDA.. you give up some cool air feed for more noise with the VTDA. You can route cold air feeds up to the opening of the VTDA to improve cold air flow, but for pure cold air flow the TTDA is still a better choice.

In an email to me from the modshack, responding to a question about this very issue... "...the VTDA is the higher performance intake. If you looked at the G/Sec flow graph, G/sec can be equated to HP by multiplying .8 by the number. In that case only use the differences between the two plots sine the overall G/Sec is thrown off by the ****.." - Steve Schwing

I'm more into the VTDA anyway, because of the sound. However, I do plan to route the tubes like the TTDA.
