Default poof, no more headlight for me!

My driver's side headlight just completely stopped working. it had issues with staying on before, but now it will ignite fine, but die out after ~5 sec.
I'm highly suspecting the ballast. Can anyone point me in the direction i want to go to fin a cheap one? the car is a 2002 225 coupe.

I'm wondering if this would be a good time to get some hotter bulbs in there, and the obviously do the reflector delete and paint the housing.

kind of off topic but not really.
my left headlight doesnt seem to stay the hid white color for long. I turn my lights on and it good but i notice after being in for a bit the drivers side yellows up a little. Its actually kind of annoying driving my car at night it looks like i have an HID in the passenger and a regular light on the drivers side. Anyone ever had this problem before and have a solution?
