alright so its getting worse and worse... now its like loud and you can feel it.. if i just press in on the clutch nothing... but as soon as i engauge a gear its a loud pop. not like i high pitch thing though... sounds like someone knocking on a door... um and now i can feel it through the pedal.. but like i said only when i engauge. so i have noooooooooo clue whats going on but it sounds bad...

 

Only when you engage?
So step on clutch - clear
Put car into neutral - clear
Shift into gear - no bien... That's odd! Where are those handy dandy tech support guys?

 

engine mounts anyone?... i remember runing out of ruber on one of the mounts on another 4 cyl car... but in this case you would be able to se the shifter moving inside the car... either up and down or back and forward...

 

could be worth looking into. my car developed a knock when engaging a gear in 1st or 2nd and then again when you let off the gas with the car still in gear. It turned out the d/s engine/tranny mount went bad. replaced in less than 30mins and the part was ~ $180.

 

yea it only happens in low gears... my brother suggested a control arm?

 

I got my clutch/flywheel/starter installed for $250 + tax. - Got it done in a small town in IA. - Oddly he did a great job on the clutch/flywheel/starter - but put the power cables on backwards and couldn't get it to start. - What a fool. - HAHA. - He had to pay for that to be done at the dealer. - However what a SMOKING good deal.

- Got the timing belt/water pump installed for $190.00 at the same shop as well. - BLING.

ECS TUNING CLUTCH/FLYWHEEL / WATERPUMP/TIMING BELT

- BLING.

 

HEY ryan you have FWD big difference in labor cost...no transfer case to bring down with the tranny.

 

The dealers up here are a little more I think.... I was quoted 3100 for a clutch installed from the audi dealership. Some guys would do it for 650 but I dident trust there work. Rather have it done right.Plus he replaced both my cv shafts for a bonus while he had everything appart.

I got the stage 2+ for 1100 w Alum Fly wheel.

 

i have a loud clank noise when i release the clutch in 1st or 2nd gear. its annoying, should it be happening? i also have a loud pop noise when i through it in reverse and move maybe like 10 feet. something jus goes CRACK what could that be?

 

how many miles on your car? Im leaning towardsa possible tranny fluid swap for me
