Default Pre Certified Audi TT

I I buy A used Pre CertifiedAudi tt, do they or are they required to change the timing belt??

i'd imagine only if its past 105k..


ask them if they did it.

and if you're buying from a dealer you can always negotiate. ask for $1500 off or pay what they're asking but require a timing belt change.

Id go with 60k miles on that timing belt... i believe the A4's may be the 105k...

I looked into a certified used car from the Audi dealer. They told me it came with a "100K warranty" (don't know if that meant up to 100K or 100K over and above the current mileage). If the one you're looking at has the same extended warranty then it wouldn't really matter if they'd done the belt or not; if it breaks you're covered by the warranty, right? Just make double-sure what the warranty does and does not cover.

actually on the TT the timing belt is supposed to be good to 105k. It doesn't last this long in most cases so people change at 60k. What I was saying is the only way a dealer would purposely change the Timing Belt is if they were selling a 105k+ car.

And its actually 90K on the A4.
