RE: Pre Certified Audi TT
I looked into a certified used car from the Audi dealer. They told me it came with a "100K warranty" (don't know if that meant up to 100K or 100K over and above the current mileage). If the one you're looking at has the same extended warranty then it wouldn't really matter if they'd done the belt or not; if it breaks you're covered by the warranty, right? Just make double-sure what the warranty does and does not cover.

actually on the TT the timing belt is supposed to be good to 105k. It doesn't last this long in most cases so people change at 60k. What I was saying is the only way a dealer would purposely change the Timing Belt is if they were selling a 105k+ car. ORIGINAL: theTTkid
