Default Pulling a P1297 code... Something about 17705 - Pressure Drop betw. Turbo and Throttle Valve (DV!)

Ordered a new Forge 0007p DV last night. Will be here in 3 days.
I have a brand new MAF that got rid of my old codes -P1138, P0300-P303). (Either that or they haven't kicked in yet.)
Just changed my timing belt this past weekend and thats installed correctly.

Anyhow,
Yesterday -P1297 was intermittent. I was entirely missing a clamp on the top of my DV, so last night I picked one up and clamped that puppy down. Now, my "intermittent" code is no longer intermittent, but a full blown code. =/

What else should I be looking for that I will be able to see with my naked eye, or test using some guides to follow? I've run my hands along the hoses, and they seem to be okay. My hoses visually look okay, should I bee looking at specific ones in detail?

I was also going to build a pressure tester. I have TONS of paintball parts, so hopefully I'll be able to use one of my spare regs to regulate a testing system.

Ive had the same code for a long time but mine doesnt throw the code, it just there when I use my vag-com, but no code light comes on. What type of diverter do you have? If you fix this let me know so I can try it too.

Will do. I have a stock DV, and I am not sure of its age. I got the car at 80k and it has 80500. :-)

This only started when i changed my MAF so im not running "lean" now. Before the turbo wasnt being used, so now that boost is back, its tossing this code. I'll let ya know if the DV fixes it.

Chosos, I think I just found the reason for my P1297 code. Today I was really checking everything cuz I was getting some backfire in the exhaust and I found a small hose under the intake mani with a pin hole in it. Its a vacuum line and it was sucking the hose in and restricting the vacuum flow. after talking to a BMX cert mechanic he said that hose would probably cause the code and the backfire cuz the line was cutting off the vacuum causing the system to be lean and then the ECU was trying to compensate by adding more fuel thus making it rich. So really check your lines and listen very carefully. I turned off the AC so the fans wouldnt come on and I sprayed water once I found the leak to see if it disturbed the rpms, which it did. Hope this helps.
