Questions about iPod integration...
I've been searching through these forums and others for a while now, and while there are many posts over this subject, I cannot find any definite answers to my questions. So please bear with me and forgive me if ask a question that has already been answered. I would like toconnect my iPod Nano to my factory Concert stereo, with Bose,in my 2002 Audi TT ALMS Coupe. I do not wish to replace my head unit and I do not want to use a FM transmitter. I want a good CD quality connection and I know the connection will take the place of my factory CD changer. I've found two promising kits, the DICE i-Audi-R and the Axxess Wire-Tunes. I was wanting to know if either of these kits (or any kit) will for sure display the iPod track information on my stereo and the MMI cluster display. Iknow these kits are supposed to support this in most vehicles but I have not found out for sure if they will in the TT. Also, as I understand it, the DICE setup replaces the Dension ice>Link Plus, which has been discontinued in the US, correct? And does anybody have any experience with either of these kits in a TT?
Thanks in advance!

I have this one, it is really nice. it connects where the cd changer does (changer loses functionality). It's easy to hide away under the rear seat.
Digital quality is preserved, as it connects to the dock connector, it also charges the ipod.
What i really like about it is that you can still use the ipod to control your music, but you can also skip trough songs as if they were tracks on a cd trough the headunit.

Word. I guess he could always make hundreds of little flash card-like thngs and each time the song changes... he could find that song in the cards and put it in the LCd window. lol
I've been looking on the DICE website and I cannot find where it says anything about being able to display song information on the stereo or cluster display. However, the Axxess Wire-Tunes website states that the "Axxess Wire-Tunes is the only product on the market that let's you see the playlist, track number, album, artist AND track name on the display of factory car stereos equipped with text compatibility." So, my next question is, isthe Concert stereoin my Audi TT "equipped with text compatibility?" I know that it has RDS, but I know that is not necessarily the same thing. If it does, the Axxess seems like a good choice. It seems like it's a newer product, it seems like it has good documentation, and it's also available at Circuit City. So does anyone have any experience with the Axxess?
Yes The Concert Bose IS equipped with song track display capabilities... on CDs with tracks embedded. At the same time... on some radios stations... the Concert radio will even show the song name on the display while playing on the radio. When I used to play burned CDs... the song titles would appear just fine on the HU and the LCD
Ok, that was what I needed to know. I think I maygo withthe Axxess then, since it explicitly says on their website that it will display the song information. Thanks for everybody’s help!
