Default rassn frassn windows (rant)

This has got to be the oddest f'n powerwindows I've ever come across! [:@]

First - neither work the same - meaning that is the drvr side window drops when opened the passenger will not. The auto up works for one - not the other then they switch off. Sometimes - sporatically - they will fail to operate altogether - fortunately in the up position

Now a whole new development has occurred - both windows drop down just over 1/2 inch (much farther than the 1/8th when you open the door)- not both at the same time of course. No matter how many times I raise the window up and down it stops dead at the same spot! Started with the passenger side Sat - then today it's now the driver side... talk about wind noise! [>:]

Has anyone experienced this? or am I going to need an Exorcist to banish this fecking gremlin I've got crawling inside my TT [sm=badbadbad.gif][sm=shootshoot.gif]

you might need to reset them ( press and hold the button to lower and keep it there till it stops at the bottom then do the same to make the window go to the top ) do the same on all windows to store it in the ECU memory

I disconnected my battery with the driver's window down; I'll never do that again. When I reconnected it would only go up about 4" & then it stopped. However, the passenger window went all the way up & down, dropped slightly when the door opened, just fine. I tried holding the button down & up to "reset" like some say but nothing changed. I opened the driver door and, while operating the switch to close the window, pulled up on it (gave it a little assist) which caused it to go all the way up. I cycled the window several times like this and eventually it would go up all the way on its own; however, it wouldn't drop slightly when the door was opened (!). After opening & closing the door a few times, it started to drop slightly on its own. Bottom line; everything is now fine, and it seemed to "learn" that it needed to drop slightly on its own. But I agree, what a friggin' complicated mess.
