Default Rear wheels locking????

When my roadster TT 255 quattro is cold the rear wheels won't spin independantly from one another. As a result the tyres have to skip and skid when turning tight corners.
What is the cause and what is the fix?

Thanks
Ted

yep, new HALDEX fluid does wonders.
i first changed it a week after i bought it. (12000 miles)
besides the low mileage, the car had been sitting for a year.

after the service, on the ride home, my car introduced me to oversteer in a TT.

OK, in an effort to avoid the dealer, etc.., what type of fluid and how much does the Haldex take. Are there any write ups on doing this? Thanks in advance.

regards,

-=Rick
