Okay that is about 14375 Miles and $37301.06 US. Sound a bit steep to me but I guess he
can ask whatever he wants for his car.
I personally think it would be worth closer to $27,000 US or $32572.80 CAD
but that is just me

I am close to buying a 2001TT with low KMs (49K) for $32,000 CDN. The car is immaculate. I have spoken with a few people who have interest in and own high-end cars and they say this is a great price.

As for the depreciation factor, any high-end car will suffer it. One contributing factor to high resale value that other cars (e.g., Toyotas and Subarus) have is that they are cheaper right from the start. A new TT costs $55,000 CDN whereas a Subaru comes in at less than half that price. If Subaru made a car (and maybe they do, I don't know) for $55,000, it would suffer just the same -- if not more -- depreciation.

I test drove a couple brand new cars in the $30K to $50K range. They were not as well-finished as the 2001 Audi I drove. In fact, the other cars were down-right cheap. So, don't let the amount of depreciation in this case make you think that the TT is cheap.

For what it's worth, that was my two cents -- $.02 CDN, that is.

I just bought a 2001 TT 225HP Silver Coupe with 60k miles for 17,800 US or 21,473 Canadian.
The car has all the options including the factory Navigation, Bose Stereo with 6 CD Changer, HID lamps, Heated Leather seats, Polished 17inc wheels with brand new 225 40 17 Sumitomo tires.

It looks and drives like New. I am a hobby mechanic and pulled the plugs and they looked great. No abnormal wear and tear.
Pulled the splashguard on the bottom and checked for leaks and other anomolies but couldn't find any. The oil looked fine and
the manual transmission oil wasn't in bad shape either. I changed it to Redline MT-90 and for the Oil I used Mobil One European
Formula 0W40. Car runs like a Champ! These Audis are well put together and the 1.8T is a proven and very reliable motor that
can easily see 200k Miles if it is taken care off and the oil changes and maintenance are done on a regular basis.

I love this little car and it's the Most fun car I have ever owned and I have owned a bunch of cars in my lifetime
