Default Recline lever

on the 2001 quattro im trading for the recline lever is broken and ill have to fix it. According to the guy his dad was in the car and yanked on it to hard and it broke a gear thats inside. So now the lever hangs loose and can spin all the way around. just wondering if anybody has any idea on how to fix this, whether or not its something i can do myself or not. its really annoying because the way this guy drove he nearly was laying down so its pretty uncomfortable to be stuck where it is. thanks for any info

It's actually a **** you turn to recline. Theres a **** on each side of each seat, so maybe one well work. Otherwise, be careful taking the seats out, as the air bags are inside the seats.

^yup
remember to disconnect the batt before you pull the seat out and unhook... I usually just say be careful around anything that is in yellow loom cuz that is typically airbag stuff lol

NO,,,there is a rotary shaped **** (not handle) that you twist/turn to recline the seats. There is one on each side.

The handle actually raises and lowers the ride height of the seat.

Yes. 2 ***** per seat. The **** is better then lever, because it has infinate adjustment points, rather then only about 15 points as with the lever type seats. The up-down lever also has infinate adjustment points. Kinda like power seats, where you can never get the seat exact the same after someone moves it.

I wonder why the tt never got power seats??
