wow that is pretty insane...all that to clear it? so he just replace the bottom piece, what about the piece on the side? dont have to replace it? and also why did he paint the housing?

The side peice is clipped on there. You have to break it off and then bondo it to fill in the holes. that is why you have to paint it if you remove the reflector. the signal is simple, you just push it out and push the new one in.

Default Do It....

Those headlight reflectors look like they should be on a old Ford Pick Up. They HAVE to go! Not that hard to do, and costs very little. What's the worst that can happen? So you melt your headlights a little.

i think it'd be a cheaper and easier mod if you just tint over the amber signal. maybe even over the amber reflector?

worked great on my celica

(in my sig below... for the meantime)

I do agree that the reflector has to go, but holy **** is a lot to do all of that lol I hate to break it off, bondo it, and paint my headlights. Maybe his pics didnt do it justice, just seemed like the painted casing looked a bit tacky. Maybe if i saw different pics I would do it lol

It's really not that tough to do. If you use Epoxy putty the black is pretty close. I did the whole operation in a day. Here is the BEFORE pic...

I went with the color matched looked... picked up a rattle can of paint from http://www.paintscratch.com

and the AFTER...
