Replacing Front Headlights - HID
Hey So i did a search on the forum and didn't really find much install help so I wanted to add a little something.
I replaced my HID headlights because one went out. I was at first a little nervous because they cost $99 each and didn't want to F it up.
The actual installation of the headlights them selves is very straight forward, remove the plastic covers from the front of the engine, pop the clip on the dust cap and remove it. twist off wiring harness, twist retainer cap slightly counter clockwise, and remove the bulb. then reverse these steps.
When inserting the bulb, there is a tab inside the housing, the bulb can only go in in one position. This makes it easy for alignment but a little more difficult to line up and get the cap on.
Passenger side , is super easy
Drivers side tip !!!!! - If you remove the air intake assembly it makes it super easy, well worth the time, no need to remove battery, but the negative wire, should be removed for accessibility.
