Default S4 Biturbo Swap

Can this be done? I was thinking if it would be worth it to swap the 2.7 V6 BT in the TT Coupe and what would have to be purchased to make it work lol?

I've seen this topic a while back. If I remember correctly, it was a MAJOR pain in the ***, VERY difficult, and stupid expensive(like not worth it)

Has it been done, yes. Is it as much as buying another car, yes. You are trying to stuff a large LONGITUDE motor in a small engine bay (even smaller than the already tiny B5 chassis) with a TRANSVERSE engine. You have to completely redesign everything to make it work. Only real 6 cyl option is of the VR type which is an ok swap. A built 1.8t will be best for stock to well over 500whp

The S4's are all getting up there in years and miles. They are hard to work on and many that get them end up going back to stock since they cant afford the even more maintience on them since there is 2 of everything. Honestly, if you want power, sell your elim and get a real turbo setup with a tune or get a B5 A4 1.8t. The 1.8t can do 400whp no problem with resonable lag and is far cheaper to work on and gets far better mpg. If you want to make a huge number to show people or run low et's, get yourself an Evo. A Evo IX on a stock turbo with all the bolt ons (tbe, cams, headwork, intake manifold etc) on e85 are making around 400awhp and running somewhere in the 11's. But then you trade nice interior and comfort for all out power.

Personally, i have a been considering trading in my car for a subie, but im sure its not one you would guess
