Ryan went with a V8 B6 which is a better choice for reliabilty and still have plenty of power. Only downside is they are still to new and cost much higher.

The subie is a Forester XT with a 2.5 turbo (smaller MHI turbo instead of the IHI in the wrx and much smaller than the sti IHI) Stock it makes around 215bhp and tq and runs 13.9 et. With a set of coilovers and it dropped to no gap and with full bolts ons would be a fun ride. Has to be an 04-06 however. These are in the $14-17k range with 45-70k miles on them. A nice 5 seater with tons of storage thats will run 12's with bolt ons would be nice by me. Did i mention they weighed the same as a 225 and less than the 225 conv?

hmm... with this crappy economy a v8 is out of the question though. But now that i realize if i got an s4, i would have double the cost maintence wise for the most part. And that realization sucks let me tell you. I think ill just mod my TT until i feel satisfied then find another route to go down, car choice wise. i don't want to sell the TT though lol. I realy want a dodge Challenger though, and im not sure why but the burnt orange and all black srt8 ones look sexy

for that price range u can nab yourself a 04/05 and even some 06/07' (hawkeyes) STi's within the $18k range all under 50k miles.

i've seen same gen wrx's dip into the $15k range with even lower miles (under 35k). there's alot of good stuff out there.

personally.. i'm really feelin the new 265bhp wrx sedan based off the legacy spec-b chassis. sexy sexy.

i like evos and sti's but wouldn't pay what they ask for them lol. I like audi and bmw too much. I garuantee that i get more looks and more attention from chicks after they find out what i drive now, then if i were to show them an sti or evo. Audi, BMW, MERCEDES will look better and make you feel better at the end of the night. My buddies wish they had bought what i just mentioned because it makes your image look less childish when engaging with the ladies, thats a fact, or it might just be a fact here in texas lol

^ ya that's true. i've been eyeing alot of the classier **** now. the is250 is a nice baller whip, stick shift and can still have room to be blown. even contemplating an e46 m3... but damn ,the 135i/335i have the looks and still pack a dual blown inline 6. chipped/juiceboxed, and those whomp into 350+/400+ tq area.

I've heard that if you chip your car, they(BMW) can tell as soon as you bring it in. Something about a over torque sensor. Automatic void of warranty. That would suck.

if you would be willing to spend the money why not do a dual engine. it has been done before and the best part is that it gives you a fresh start at fabrication. i myself would not venture unless i had a big shop with all the tools and a spare car but that would be a great project. you could probably take another 1.8t with tranny and the whole front suspension and stuff it in there. by "stuff it in there" i mean years of fabrication for most people.
