Ok, aside from my frustration of waiting on the TTstuff site to open up.

I seen a lot of hoses which are kock offs and recently i saw one that shows side by side with an OEM one.

now from the picture that i saw and it wont let me save it. cuz they are #$@$. it appears to replace the Turbo Air Intake Pipe
i got a chance to look at the stock one compared to the Aftermarket one and its like looking at a ethiopian model vs homer simpson

So when i get it do i have to refit the stock one onto it or does it go right into the turbo?

 

i know eurojet makes a 1.8T TIP? i have eurojetthrottle body and boosthoses,they're awesome i know its crucial for the 225's to get a TIP after chip due to the hose collapse, but 180's have cast aluminum, so no worries on collapsing

but if you're going for gains,waste your money ona DP. for a pretty engine bay, a TIP. i know it's a pain the *** for 180TTQ's and DP's... but if you look hard enough u'll find a shop that'll custom fab one up for you. i found one 1 mile away from me

well im going to repalce my turbo intake hose, i still need to know if the cast part is replaced by the bend part on the Samco Hose. Otherwise i will get the Cast tip and the Inlet hose at the same time. If it replaces it then i dont need to cuz the Samco or the Forge silicone pipe are pretty wide and allow much more air flow.

Yes, the tip goes from the back of the maf to the turbo. The one on ebay is just a samco/forge tip that has been restamped while still in Hong Kong. They fit the same but just takes a little time for delivery. I think that is for the awp engines (01+), so it fits a larger turbo inlet and the regulator next to the dv.

 

yea that particular one is not for my engine which is ATC.

but it was a mock up, i figure the one for my engione will look the same but will just have different places for stuff to plug in. ( im having brain fart moments[&:])i definetly signed too many affidavits today all i see is my damn stamp.
