Default Seat belt holder.

I have been on this site for about a month now and have been trying to get as much reading done asI can beforeI posted a thread. Does anyone else not like how the seat belt is behind the seat and is a pita to grab to put it on? I am in the process of designing and bracket that would keep the belt located on the top of the seat back for easy access so you dont have to fish around behind the seat for it.
I am looking to see if anyone else would be interested in this before I order the aluminum for this project. This will be cnc machined and an easy bolt on part with no modifications to the seat. It will basically put a loop over the shoulder part of theseat back to keep the seat belt within easy reach. It will be finish in brushed aluminum with a clear anodized coating. I am not looking to make money on these just whatI have in metal and my time to make them. I will have some pics within a week hopefully. Just trying to see if what kind of interetI can stir up.

I guess I should have mentioned that this was originally intended for the roadster so leaning the seats back isnt an option. I guess this would work on the coupe also. It would be similar to the seat belt loops on the seats in a trans am or camaro but they would be made to fit the interior and look of the audi and instead of bolting to the head rest the would be mounted to the posts for the head rests.

I've noticed most people try to grab the belt with their arm opposite the belt (so driver grabbing w right hand). That is a pain in the ***. Go underhand with your left hand, grab it at the base, and pull it forward to you. Much easier.

So, with that said, no, not really interested in a seat belt bracket, I don't have any trouble. : )

I actually find it easier to grab with the right hand. I always put my seatbelt on before I even start the car though so I could see it might be easier to do an underhand grab with your left if you were moving already. I'm just trying to decide if I like these new Audi shoulder cushion's or not. I got em for 10 bucks so I can't complain to much.

I wasnt really looking to make this for the coupes as the seat belt is much easier to grab on them. On the convertables the seatbelt is litterally behind the seat. If you have the seat pushed all the way back like I do when I am driving cause I am 6 feet tall it is a major pita to get to the seatbelt. I have tried grabbing it at the bottom like you said but the buckle gets stuck behind the seat. Thanks for your input though. Looks like I am just going to make a few set and if no one wants any its no big deal. Once the cnc machine is set up it only takes a few minutes to make the part. its just the cost of aluminum thats expensive but if I buy it bulk it cheaper.

How's the belt mount different in the roadster? I thought it was the same, right at the back edge of the door.
