Taken from instructions for a B6, but same idea, you should be able to figure it out from here.

1. Insert your key into the ignition.
2. Push in the service button, just left of the odometer reset button, hold it in, and turn the key to ON without starting the car.
3. The display should read either "SERVICE IN ????KM" or "Service!" if it does not, repeat steps #1 and #2.
4. To reset, push and hold the odometer reset button until you see "---" (dashes) for the distance and days until service.
5. Turn the ignition to the off position. When the ignition is turned back on, the "Service!" reminder will not show (until it gets close again).

Theres a ton of little websites, and tech articles, and FAQs around the internet, but I kinda think I wanna make my own, sort of a reference, but documenting my mods and crap as well, and the little 'custom' things, like DIY tools that i've made to make things like draining/filling gear oil easier. I'm lazy as hell when it comes to organizing or even taking pics while im working though, so I feel like it'd end up with a lot of holes in the DIY processes.
