Default Shaking from front driver side. !!

Hey guys. I have a mk1 225 tt, and recently noticed on my 15 minute commute to work a slightly shaking feeling coming from my driver side front wheel. From what I have read it seems to be a wheel bearing? Although i'm not very mechanically inclined, so I really have no clue. Anyone know the solution or fixed a similar problem? Also it's mainly felt between 55-70, not much at other speeds

Thanks

Maybe you've just lost a wheel balance weight...if so, cheap remedy.

If your wheels are weighted with the tape-on weights, you might see a fresh/clean spot where the weight used to be, but you can "see" an imbalance ....just gotta get it re-balanced.

Best thing is to go to your local tire shop, pull the wheel, and just have it re-balanced.

Your description of shaking in a particular speed range is a usual sign of the need for rebalance.

I had the same thing and it was the axel. Was a cheap repair/replacement, cost me about $200 including labor

Same thing here. It's probably the axel, as was in my case. Axel was $150.00 new and labor was $120 for 1.5 hours.
