Default Should I Go With A LiquidTT???

Im trying to decide if i should get a liquidTT gauge or not, in addition to a 42draftdesign oil catch can... I want the LiquidTT cuz it pretty much does everything i need it to do with out having an a$$ load of gauges in my car lol. Whats is everyone's take on it???

I had one in my 225. The gauge is awesome and worth the money....looks cool too. I still ran a mechanical boost gauge as well tho. It isn't a vag-com replacement but it is handy and gives quick access to info while on the road.

Yeah, x3 on that. I've used my liquidTT often. Especially since I have no cat on my DP. I've probably reset my CEL 20 or 30x. And there's nothing better than breaking down somewhere, and being able to pull up a trouble code(by #)on the spot. Everytime I've called for a tow, I've known what the problem was before the tow truck got there. And no, it's not a replacement for VAG. But it's not supposed to be. It's an awesome product! I had the same requirements also. I didn't want a ton of "boy racer" guages in my car to cheese things up. It's also a HUGE conversation piece. Everybody is blown away by all it's functions. Some of the guys on the forums hate on it, but that's to be expected. No to mention all the hate comes from people that have never owned one. Also, the price of them has dropped a little bit so you should be able to pick one up for cheap.

hey cincy, cut me a break man hahaha!!! My car is at DBC Performance getting all the work done, to make the TT come back running like a beast. I called yesterday to find out what they thought needed to be replaced before tunning the ecu, and they will be replacing the valve cover gasket, tensioner gasket, spark plugs, flush engine, replace all vaccum hoses with matching red silicone hoses as the same color of the samco hoses i already have, 630cc injectors, bigger fuel pump. should be sending off the ecu if they haven't already, this week. I just ordered the liquid TT this morning and im still debating if i should order 42draftdesigns new oil catch and also have DBC install it there also. Another thing guys, do you think it would be worth it to have them install a water/meth kit also right now, or wait until a little bit later?

i wouldnt until you have a built motor. A 71r is already pushing it

would a catch can be useful to me right now cincy? or should i wait on it, and start looking for parts to forge the internals? Im thinking rods, small ported head, saw a guy on fourtitude selling heads, figure i can get one all tricked out with all the right parts i need and then put some rods in the block. I want to keep the piston size the same unless its more worth it to stroke it out to a 2.0

All you need is a set of 144/20mm rods from scat, ie, or brute. Id do that stuff before all else. A catch can is a good thing to have, stock or not
