Single headlight out
I have a 2000 TT 180hp quattro. I bought it recently and it had a headlight out, passenger side (right) low-beam specifically.
I had assumed that it was either a bad bulb, Igniter, fuse, or ballast. It was none of these. Goggle and I have had a failing relationship in finding any answer.
The fuse was blown, so I replaced it, and nothing happened. I was thinking it might be the switch itself, but when I saw the price I dug a little deeper. the line coming off of the switch goes... somewhere before it splits into the fuse box, but there is voltage at the fuse. no voltage at the plug for the light. I tested the big yellow wire going into the headlamp assembly. So, I am at a loss now. Is there a relay for the right low-beam? What else should I be looking for?
All the other lights on the car work fine, High beams, fog-lights, parking lights, turnsignals. everything except the low-beam.
