So I'm putting the TT out to pasture..
haha its not as bad as it sounds, I'm just getting another car so I don't have to drive the TT all the time
... found this 1985 Audi coupe GT, paid only $500 for it! it needs a little work to run(slave, fuel pump, battery, and maybe a tune up) but overall its in great condition!
Anyone have any tips as to what I should do prior to start up? its been sitting for a few years.

[ol][*]Change all the fluids.[*]Lubricate everything you can.[*]Pack wheel bearings.[*]Replace belts, hoses.[*]Check suspension bushings for cracking[*]Replace plugs, wires.[/ol]
wow thats a lot of power for a car like that, I bet it can eat a set of tires in a few seconds
yeh Nate, the motor almost hangs over the front bumper, pretty weird but I guess thats how they did it back then.

Along with all the fuilds (ps, pb, trans too!) change the gas or atleast put some good fuel stabilizer in it. ALSO--You'll have a difficult time drawing gas into the cylinders, because it sat so long (piston rings are now dry and untill they are moist again they well not seal and create a vacume). You'll most likely need to use a lot of starting fluid to get it running long enough to draw gas into the cylinders and re-moisten the rings. I had a simular problem when fixing a flooded car... took me a while to figure that one out.
