vagcat isn't that useful, their crap isn't updated much, and most of the time I find the numbers from the diagrams don't match to the part number listed.

Took me all of 20secs to find the part and another 10sec to get that link to mjm with a google parts number search. Not bad for a free website. Ill admit its not perfect, but people should atleast try using it. Its deff better than nothing.

BTW, it took me <5 minutes to find in bently. Its overwhelming at first, but you'll get better at finding stuff as you use it.

Search 'VSS Location'
Click the second link in the list 'Component Locations, Overview'
Scroll down, its #17

Link #6 also has an actual picture.

Get with the times, buddy....! ; )

Curious, see if you can find it like this, I'm gonna list off the drop downs that get me to the component locations. This is based off my VIN. Fun fact, I have the VIN for both my TT's memorized.

Audi TT 2001 1.8L L4 (AMU)
Repair Manuals
Engine Mechanical
Fuel Injection & Ignition
1.8 Liter 4-Cyl. 5v Turbo Fuel Injection & ... (cuts off)
01 On Board Diagnostic (OBD)

Where'd I lose you, the Amish jab for using a bentley book, or the list of sections to get to the component locations? Books... thats soo 1700's. Its the 2000's now dude.

Just see if you can find any component diagrams under the multiport fuel injection section of your manual.
