I was happy you were finally getting a Bentley. Now I'm concerned that you don't know how to use it. Did you get the companion book "How To Use Your Bentley?" Available on Amazon.

OH, and you still don't have a vag-com cable? Apparently now called VCDS btw. Theres function tests you can run to see whether its the VSS or if the problems elsewhere.

I'm not sure about the tt, by I replaced the vss in my last car and they were several vss's. The ones near the brakes were related to abs and only needed to be replaced if your abs light was on. The vss that actually controlled the spedo was in the transmission. The car always read 0 mph, I changed the vss in the trans and it fixed the problem. The dealer wanted a ton of $$$ for replace the $10 part too. They said the entire trans needed to be dropped. I managed to do it my self by bending a wrench to barely fit in.

Make sure you order the right vss.

like the older cars had a speedo cable now the newer ones have a sensor ( in the same place ) nothing to do with the ABS sensors and there is only one on the tranny and that should be on top pointing down to the flywheel which is how it reads the speed
