i hear what your saying, the hg and crank headbolts etc that you mentioned were overengineered for their purpose. but, at the same time... if im already down there .. might as well do the HG, maybe even lower the compression a tad bit with a thicker gasket.
It cant hurt and only cost a bit more than factory replacements. As for the compression, its up to if you want faster spool and more power throughout the rpm, or run a couple more psi safely on pump. I went with 9.25:1 from 9.5:1 so i can still get good spool.

what kind of a difference are you expecting from a 0.25 decrease.

very very little. The only reason i changed is because thats what Arnold had instock when i got my custom wisco for a 92.8 crank and in 83mm. Some people go from 9.5:1 down to 8.5:1 and even 8:1. I would take 9.25:1 anyday since the tunes out now are good enough not to worry about blowing stuff up. Back about a year + ago, that maybe a differnt story

Should be right up there with the Unitronics 630cc file otherwise Arnold wouldnt sell it. As you can tell, he doesnt sell parts he doesnt believe fully in. Revo for transverse cars arent nearly as nice as the longitude cars and giac lacks power in there tunes, just check out the very small few with Del Rio power kits [:'(](made in Mexico).

Depends on the tuner. Most make a specific turbo file and you can run a turbo up or down from them with ease. Most tuners have something for gt28r, gt28rs, gt2871r, gt30r, 50trim. since they are the most common. You just tell them what you have and they will get you the correct file.

so the differences are minute enoguh to make adjustments

i notice that chips have "suggested" mod lists, can they incorporate other mods done to the car, ex. exhaust, TB, C/R, etc.
